Professional Degrees

Professional degrees like BBA, MBA, and MCS admission test is required by the Allama Iqbal Open University. The test is often customized NAT (NTS). The merit is a mix of academic performance in last earned degree and score in the test.

Post Graduate Degrees - M. Phil, MS, PhD

For an applicant of M. Phil, MS, and PhD the GAT by NTS is compulsory to qualify. At least 50 marks in GAT General are required to qualify the test.

Merit Calculation and Minimum Requirement of Test Score

Merit is calculated on the basis of applicant's past academic performance and the score in the admission test taken by the university. The merit system varies considerably by course to course.
The merit for the current year has not been announced by the university. However; you may consider past year's average as aggregate of 65% in test score plus marks in past degree.

Fall and Spring Merit Waiting Lists of Selected Candidates

Admissions are offered two times in a year.
List of Successful Candidates - Merit List is often displayed in regional centers three weeks after the test along with the official website of AIOU just after the announcement of the test result.
