Merit System

The COMSATS (CIIT) merit system includes marks in last earned degree (Intermediate, Bachelor, Master's, or MS) and NTS NAT or GAT. The minimum marks in last earned degree must be greater than 60% (First Division) and minimum score in NAT must be greater than 50 (Pass marks). In merit is 50 - 50 weight has been given to both marks in academic and score in the test.

MS and PhD

For admission in MS your marks must be greater than 60% in Bachelor degree and you must have qualified the NTS GAT with at least 50 marks. For PhD admissions applicants have to qualify GAT Subject.

Merit Calculation and Minimum Requirement of Test Score

The merit for admission in undergraduate programs remains about 65% in engineering, 60% in management sciences, and 55% in other fields. Similarly, the merit for post graduate admission is about 60% aggregate of academic and test score.

Fall and Spring Merit Waiting Lists of Selected Candidates

Merit list is announced and displayed in the respective campuses along with the website of COMSATS. Waiting lists are displayed after 10 days of last list.

Fall and Spring Admissions

COMSATS offers two intakes each year. The merit for second intake is much lower than that of first intake.
